I have a new dash for my 60, and want to upgrade the stereo when I install it.

I would like to buy a good quality single DIN box that will work with the ctock brackets (or I will fab brackets). Would like to be able to insert and remove the radio from the front mount the a bezel to fit the stock opening.

ANy one have sucha set up? Names, part numbers, photos?

Any help would help.

Thanks

Mike S

Usually a DIN radio has the factory mounting holes in the radio case not the mounting sleeve. The best you could do would be to get a removable face radio and mount it in the din opening. I built a faceplate for one of my old 60s that was bigger than the inside dimension of the hole them used a pair of back braces to pull the radio back and secure it in the hole allowing me to use a removable radio. In this case a Sony vintage 1988.

how about a stock am/fm or cassette and run the type of disc changer that is in line with the antenna.
