Date: 04/21/2009 pbBLUERIBBON COALITION ACTION ALERT!/b/pnbsp;bDear BRC Action Alert Subscriber,/bbnbsp;/bbSierra/bb National Forest/bb Motorized Travel Management DEIS Available Soon/bnbsp;The Sierra National Forest, located in east central California, will be releasing their Motorized Travel Management Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) on May 1, 2009, for public review and comment.nbsp;The Motorized Travel Management Project is part of a national effort to designate transportation systems on each national forest in the country. The goal is to develop a sustainable network of roads and trails that provide opportunities for access and recreation while protecting natural and cultural resources.nbsp;Beginning the week of April 27, 2009, the Forest Service (FS) will begin mailing out copies of the document to those who requested them.
