Hi, my drivers side mirror only tilts about half as far as it used to when reversing. Any ideas about where to start on fixing?
Thanks.

Is it by design? Mine does the same thing and I just figured that was "normal".

Mine tilt down all the way in reverse, but don't return to "normal" any longer. I have to manually raise them back up. Wonder if we're having the same issue, but from opposite ends? Been thinking of digging into it, but haven't found the time (too many other projects going on).

My passenger mirror does the same thing. It doesn't tilt all the way down and it doesn't return to the correct position. It seems to work fine manually though. I had to turn off this feature because of this issue.

I have the same issue as @geanes . I ended up turning mine off. It would be nice to have a fix.

Yes. That sound similar to mine. The passenger mirror has full travel, but the driver's mirror only moves about half as far as it used to. It has full travel when I manually move it up and down.

Mine had the same issue. Both sides would only partially tilt when reversing but after adjusting the tilt setting, I was able to get the passenger side to tilt all the way on reverse. I followed some Lexus memory mirror instructions forgot from where, but basically you put the car in reverse, adjust the mirror to your liking, move shifter back to park or drive, and adjust the mirror back to normal driving position. Then next time you reverse the mirror remembers your auto tilt setting.

That process fixed the passenger side but couldn't get it to work on the driver side.

Same exact situation here.

Check your mirror adjuster knob. It has 3 settings: Left, Right and Center. If the selector is in the middle, the reverse-dipping is turned off. Flip the selector to either Left or Right.
You are the man... I couldn't figure out why it was working the other day.

Only the DS works on mine... the PS wants to move but stays in place.
