Little background here. '67 F135 with 88,000 original miles. Sat for at least 20 years before I rescued it. I've been driving it some now that I have replaced a lot of mechanical things.
I've started noticing that it's becoming harder to get the old 3 speed into gear. Reverse grinds when I back out of the garage and it's hard to get it into 2nd when I make a turn. When I take off from a dead stop, the whole truck wants to shake no matter how slow I let off the clutch and it also seems like there isn't much pedal left when the clutch finally engages.
Having never replaced a clutch I'm wondering if these are symptoms of a bad one. At the very least, this thing is 20 years old if not original. So how tough of a job is it? Who sells the best replacement? Is there anything else I should do while I have it torn down?
Thanks
