Greetings group. I saw a beautiful restored Toyota Land Cruiser on the road recently, wow what a pretty vehicle! I have found a 1973 Toyota Land Cruiser for sale which I believe is a good price and its condition is fair to good. My question is should I buy and fix it up? Is it even feasible? Are there parts out there for repairs and restorations? etc.

Or is there a thread already in place that I can read and research what this group is saying about this topic? Thank you in advance for your input, advice, info, etc.

Yes, yes and yes.

Welcome to Mud. This is the place.

Lol - the difference between that fully restored FJ40 and fair to good is a lot of money and hours and hours of work.

Pictures would help if your looking for advice on purchasing.

But to your question, most parts are available, plenty of good information on how to fix everything is available via search.

Here are some pics.

Thanks for looking at the pictures and giving me your honest opinion. The asking price for this vehicle is $5000. Maybe a little less. Unmolested engine bay. Hard to say, good amount of rust on the tub, but looks like decent bones. Be a good deal for 3K as I see it, I would certainly try and negotiate the seller down. Good luck!

When you say unmolested engine bay, is that a good thing or a bad thing?
