Well, I've had my '92 now for 6 years and have no regrets. Its been back and forth across the country several times. The 3FE really is bullet proof. Yeah, if you want to cruise 80+ on the freeway, its not the best choice but with the cost of fuel, I find myself driving slower now anyway. If you are driving on highways at elevations much I'd probably say go with the '93+ but for everything else, I've found the FJ to be great. I'm now at 195,000 miles and plan on getting 300,000+ out of it with no worries. If I have to replace it down the road, I'm going to look for another honestly. For expedition type wheeling they are perfect. Besides, anything '93+ is a mall cruiser.:D
