Its not everyday you go out with a stock shorty, middy and a troopie so we decided to test the flex in the same place of the short, medium and long wheelbases. All tyres were just off the ground. Thought some people might find it interesting...

they all flexed the same even though the troopie has longer rear springs...interesting.

looks like nice wheeling down there.

Have to admit i felt quite uneasy like i was being watched for a second! Quite weird seeing photos of yourself when you didnt know it was taken Lol. Yeah next time you see us say hi. Have you got any photos of your truck from that trip?

I remember i had to leave my truck at home because it got broken into that night so i was a passenger in the troopie. Not nearly as fun:(

Yeah i found it quite interesting too, maybe the heavier springs balenced out the length.

I hope it wasnt too unnerving:D I was wondering if you guys would make it through the water so I took a series of pics and just kept 1 -2.

I did speak to one of the guys in your group. I was in a siLver 73 series but couldnt go eveywhere as I had left my deflators and compressor behind ,so I did the powerlines with 35psi in the tyres:mad:

The intersting thing about this trail is that is the 1st 4wd trail officially in the care of an online forum, not an actual 4wd club. They have done a great job of clearing all the litter and making it great family day out.
The government supplies dumpsters to cart the junk away.
It startedwith a proposal for closure:eek:

Hey,
Gotta love the mundaring MUD.. specially with all the rain we have been having!!
took my 74 out their a month ago and had a ball with my mates other bj74
Was one of the first 'tests' i have done with my rig and it really surprised me - just need a snorkle now for those deeper crossings.. i comfortably was at bonnet depth sitting behind the bow wave, but its a bit risky
Something different to the beach sand ive been used to..

I'd like to be there when the rock crawling rigs are having a go!

yep i think the powerlines is great fun. Ive been there in loads of different weather conditions and i have to say the hardest was when we coming out of winter say a month or so back.. it not even raining, The tracks were so chewed up from all the wheeling in the winter and the mud was more like a slippy clay than just mud. I could barely mange 30% of the hills i usually go up with my eyes closed.
Yep i wouldnt do much else without a snorkle!
I think most of the bigger rigs dont go there anymore they just shrug it off as a 'moderate' track nowdays.

did you have a dog in your truck? Post a pic of your silver truck i might remember it

That would be me but I have a different bullbar now

i think i was the one guiding you back down that last hill before the fenceline. Choppy as hell, i think you mentioned something about not being able to do it because of tyres or somthing.
