Shop manual Where???

I'm trying to find a shop manual for an HDJ81 (1999 model). Toyota East Afica looked at me like I was daft. I know about techinfo.toyota.com (and am working on downloading those files...they'll be of some help) but does anyone know where I can find either electronic or hard copy of the service manual? No problem ordering them from pretty much anywhere (US, Japan, UK, Australia, Canada?) but I'm not sure even where to start looking.

HI jay,I just posted a response to the same question last week. I got my copie(s) of the Toyota service manuals from Dan at 4wd auto wholesale 866- 468 2570. I doubt if that number will work in Africa but they are on the net. They are based in Edmonton, Alberta , Canada and the prices for these manuals are Expensive but when I travel far from home I don't have to rely on mechanics to gather tech info themselves. Toyota produced one manual for the body and one for the engine (1HD-T) and you should consider both. Cheers, Tony

Thanks for the lead! I contacted 4wd auto wholesale, and Dan helped me out. He was very helpful in making sure I was getting hte right manual. I'll definitely go to them again.
