im about to do a spring over and i need help with getting longer shocks. the truck has about 3.5" of lift now and im going to keep that with the soa. so how do i measure for new shocks or does anyone know off their head?

My understanding and some will correct if wrong....
No numbers off the top of head, but you want to measure eye to eye full articulation and full compression. Full articulation should be measured by removing shock and letting axle fall as far as possible without letting tire touch ground. You probably want to remove sway bars and other things you may do to improve articulation when offroading. For full compression, just measure eye to eye length with truck on ground and then subtract the distance from the bottom of the bump stop to where the bump stop would hit. This will get you in the ball park of numbers to look for with shopping.
