Hi Everone, i am quite new to the forum, i have a fj40 1964 tray back that is bog stock standard. Could i get some advice please. would i need to change my shockies if i fit a 2 inch lift??? if so what would be a good alround shock? thank you all for your time and advise.
Regards Mark

You wouldn't need to change them, but you couldn't use the extra travel that the lift would give you. You would have mostly up travel but no droop.
I would say any gas shock available in your market would be good. I like Bilstein's myself.

My truck will be getting Bilsteins when it's shock time. Old Man Emu and co were good 10 years ago but with the improvements in shocks of late, they're now not worth it in my opinion

Yea, Those have been around for 35 years. I used to put those on my 85 mini truck.
