Somebody knows the recommended thickness of the pinion shim for 4.10 ratio?

Also, what means TLCA number ? I have chosen 999999999. Made a mistake?

it all depends on how its set up
i went with the same size that came out, gets it pretty close.

TLCA# is a membership # for TOYOTA LAND CRUISER ASSOCIATION.

The proper size shim is the one that gives you about 8 inch pounds of preload on the pinion (not including the carrier) using new bearings when the pinion flange is torqued to 150 ft lbs. It is a bit of a PITA to find out which one is the right size.

Thats why mechanics make money. They know how to set them up. Also why they send you a bunch of shims when you get the kits.

Yeap! The pre posts were good to me. And that one also (about the shim thickness). I've not finish settling my gears now : I'm building a tool to torque the caps over the carrier's bearings
