Shifts hard in to reverse when first starts up (2 Viewers)

Not sure why but when I first start up my 94 land cruiser and put it in to reverse the whole car drops and makes a banging noise, any ideas.
 
What're your RPM's at when you make the shift?

Or, if it's staying that high for long, time to figure out why.

I would start with the throttle linkage. I was fiddling with mine adjusting it. I started the truck and it shot to 2500. It was just my faulty adjustment because I failed to read the FSM correctly.

X2 or check your coolant temp censor, if your ECU thinks the truck is still cold it'll hold the idle up until the glitch is gone
