anyone have a step by step way to change this out? pics would be helpful... I have a 99 land cruiser with the old bubbly shift indicator, light bulb out so ordered new parts and just want to figure out how to install...unscrewed the shifter knob and still will not come off...some posts i found says to cut the o/d wires ,,,is that really the only way?

Please don’t cut your O/D wires. It’s a similar process to the 80. Follow this video for reference.
