some guys do three mud and sand coats, I generally do two, just sand well.

after reading this thread and jjbodean's other my wife wants a 2" wall thread.. I've come to the conclusion that he is one of those insane DIY'ers... give it a month or so and wait for the "I am in over my head, why the hell did I do it that way" threads..

these days it doesn't hurt to call and get sme prices, sometimes it's cheaper to pay someone then to go buy the materials and a few specific tools. I just had a guy stucco some stuff for me for less than the material cost would have cost me.

nah, the wall is almost finished and i ripped out all the sheetrock. i do have to reroute some plumbing in the subfloor, 3 supply lines, 2 drains, and was smart enough to know ahead of time that i should call a plumber for that. the rest i can handle. :flipoff2:

it's been a few days, you done yet?

finished framing and started pulling electrical today. headed out of town tomorrow so wont finish up electrical until monday. framing turned out nicely, the wife was happy with the depth of the closet and i am happy i got to use 2x4s and keep it simple.

framing: done
electrical: done
plumbing: done

next: reinforce the subfloor and replace decking. start working on vanity cabinet for install. sheetrock. tile. trim. paint. plumbing and electrical fixtures. hardwood floors (subbing this out).

i think thats it. hope to be done by the end of november, likely sometime in december. will post pics when done.
