    I received the following email from eBay:

    I actually bid on a couple of the birfields, but the bidding went higher than I wanted to shell out for trail spares. I'm now glad I didn't submit the winning bid.

    Ebay can and will suspend user accounts for a variety of reasons. It's likely that the most prevelant reason is non-payment of fees, but it could be anything including posting critical comments about ebay in the ebay chat forums.

    The letter you received is a generic notification sent to all bidders in auctions closed by ebay for any administrative reason and is not by itself reason to believe that that seller's product or practices in selling are suspect.

    Nevertheless, it's not a good recommendation for the guy. I don't deal with people who can't keep their s*** together.
