Bridging the pins on my LX450 didn't put mine in manual mode either for timing. My steps were the same as Comet mentioned above. Runs ok for me now, but will revisit at some point.Hello Fellows,
I been trying to set the timing in my LX450, but once I bridge the 2 pings in to the diagnosis connector the RPM in not changing. All possible solution are welcome.
Thanks for replaying back, I did check for the light, but results are negative.Ensure the engine is up to operating temp. To be honest, it is pretty hard to hear/see the difference in RPM when you bridge the pins.
You can verify by using the timing light. If the ECU doesn't have the jumper in it, you'll see the timing is much more advanced. With it jumped, the timing goes down to about 5-10°. Or did you already check this?
Does your check engine light illuminate temporarily when you start the truck?
