Can this service specification info make it into the FAQ? I compiled this because I'm consolidating my LC maintenance info and it was easier to reference now. If there are any corrections, please feel free to tell me about it!

* I got this info from geniune Toyota publications & service manuals. Though I have the Haynes, Max Ellery, and other books, I didn't consult them for fear of getting erroneous info.
** FZJ- and HZJ- info to follow soon!

hi guys, I'm in doubt to change the oil in my 2002 hdj100 rig, 417.000 km odo, 5w40 is ok?

Thank you for this. I could have used this yesterday while searching the forum for gear oil type and amount!

For the UZJ-100 A750F transmission, I know the later units use the Toyota WS fluid. Is that the same as T-IV?

Also, it has been my experience that the drain and refill for the A343F is 4qts. The manual says 2qts. but that has to be a misprint as 2qts. doesn't even show up on the dipstick. That's been discussed on the 80 forum. I've changed the oil in it at least 6 times and it's been the same every time. It's the same in a 2001 4runner that I work on as well(I don't know the trans code for that one).

EDIT: WS and T-IV fluid are different.

Some more on that:What do you guys think is so special about the new WS transmission fluid?
