The guys over at tundra solutions are slow to respond so I thought I'd post my question here too.

Just ordered some new rear springs from Coil Springs Specialtists. They are speced to give a 3 inch lift over OEM springs w/ 250lbs of cargo in the rear.

First of all think I'll run into any issues w/ that much lift? They havnet made em yet so I can still change the hight. Currently have a spacer lift in the front and will be replacing that with some sort of coilover 2.5 inch lift.

What would a good shock be? I was thinking about Bilstien 5100's. But it seems like the LC guys swear by OME's . The bilstiens for the tundra give an additional 1.5 inches of travel.

you can drive with the rear jacked up and not the front.
it will look goofy. and the handling will change slightly.

3" isnt much, dont be alarmed.

the shock selection depends on your main driving condition.
I like the trail master SSV's. soft on road, and stiff off road.

as long as your bilstien is extended in collasped and expanded 1.5" each way, they will fit your lift.

I already have a 1.5 inch spacer lift in the rear right now. But w/ the cargo on offroad campaging trips it is probably about an inch.

Can't be all that goofy? It just wont be level anymore more like stock.

Doesnt look like bilstein makes a 5100 specifically for the tundra. The guys over at wheelers said the tundra 5100 might not have the same mounts and a custom bushing might need to be made. Bilstien does make an HD that fits the sequoia.. How do those compare? My guess is they are probably the same length as the OEM shocks.

Still have a few more days to make up my mind before the coils go into production. Maybe i should just drop the length a bit?
