well,

Checked under the hood today, been keeping a close eye on coolant since the trip out west. Noticed today I am a little low on coolant from what I was a month ago and I have seepage on the top of the radiator. Does this mean new radiator time? I am actually running a race with it in 2 weeks and want to make sure it is good. Also have a beach trip 10 hours each way... Dang this thing is killing me

Pull it, and take it to a good radiator shop in your area. If they can fix it for a reasonable amount of $$$ - time to replace it.

If it's leaking, time for a new one. What is the pink near the overflow hose? If the cap is leaking, it can cause what you are seeing at the seam.

The cap is new, the pink is dripping from when I pulled cap and left it

Best replacement radiator?

We have had great results with the TYC. Not the best quality, but serviceable, significantly better cooling than any that we have run.

Got a link? I am trying to get it here asap. I am racing in the BFG 36hrs of Uwharrie on the 14. Dang she is always hungry for money.

Did the OEM last 22 yrs? Hard to argue with that.

If you get sticker shock look at the Koyo.

500 for an OEM after tax...

I went ahead and bit the bullet. I have stayed OEM with everything else on this thing. Might as well. Don't want to kill her now

I'm going to defer this question to the 80 community that have had to replace theirs already. Thankfully mine is still working at 100% (knock wood).

I did replace the one in my 93 4Runner with one from (don't kill me! I was stuck, and needed to fix it asap.) AutoZone, and it took me to Moab and back to WV without ever getting outside of the normal temperature range. Even with daytime temps at 112 F - up and down steep grades.

Just to be sure it's the radiator - get it pressured tested for leaks. Also - test your fan clutch. Should not spin freely when the engine is off.

You can't beat OEM - BUT - $$$$$$$!!!

Head gasket was done with all cooling components in December of last year. I didn't do the radiator because it tested pressure as fine.

After 7-8k mile trip it started doing this. So I have checked for other leaks and such but this is it.

Radiator replaced. Now for the test drive and obligatory driveway run to check for leaks, air, and additional burping. Hopefully no more cooling issues for a long time
