Sedimenter Identification Help

I am hoping someone here can help....I hope this is the right place to ask.

Does anyone recognise Lucas CAV part number 5838B160 SEDIMENTER?

Has anyone any ideas as to what vehicle they can be fitted to?

I would imagine a Landrover with anemic factory diesel would be a potential application - though it could be fitted to any diesel. Unlike the Toyota sedimenter however, the Lucas one has a 3-wire cable - not sure what the extra wire is for. It is a simple float switch after all, so it needs a power feed and a line to ground.

I didn't realize they still made anything in the UK (I'm so used to seeing "Made in China" on everything)
