Hi there,

Can anyone tell me whether an 80 series front seat will fit a 74-75 series? ie. are the brackets and mounts the same?

Nope...totally different. You would have to make some custom mounts that could mount the seat to the stock capture nuts on the slide rails on your seat suspension....this is what I did for mine when I upgraded to aftermarket seats

Here's a related question, can the cushion on a 74 be swapped between the driver's and passenger's sides? My drives cushion is not as supportive as the less used passenger side.

I cant see why not but for the effort it would be just as easy to put new a new piece in.
I think one of the US suppliers ,maybe Spectre, sells the OEM foam that Toyota use.
