Seat covers for an 80 - what are the best?

Tuff Duck they are bomb proof

They have to be some of the toughest seat covers I have ever used

Got into my cruiser last week with a phillips head screw driver in my back pocket, pointy side out and it did nothing to the seat cover, 99% of most seat covers would have punctured or ripped when you do that.

And it was not the first time either

The Tuff Ducks are a little on the hot side in the summer

Just an FYI add to previous post - Wet Okoles are not for hard use utility / work trucks - canvas duck or cheap covers are better for that. They are the best otherwise though IMHO and can be / should be washed. Grease will come off of them easily as well with spot cleaning. I have them in three trucks if that say's anything and I've used every seat cover made before including sheepskin over the past 38 years since I was 15.

X2!!! I've had Tuff Ducks on my seats for over a year and they have held up great. They fit the seats well and IMO, they look great for being such a strong material.

Great - thanks for your feedback. But are they *cool*?

If anyone wants a set of endura(canvas) seat covers for a deal, exact seat covers is taking 35% off of orders right now. Not sure how long it's going to last. I got a set for my front seats this summer, and have really liked the durability. Just picked up the middle row for $115 shipped. Not a bad deal.

That is a hell of a deal. I purchased the same ones a while back and spent close to $300 shipped for both rows. With the above coupon code, they would be $230 shipped.

This is the second set of this brand I have owned and I am very pleased with them. Here is the post in my build thread....

Looks like the 35% deal was just for a few hours. The latest one they sent over is for today (black friday) only. 30% off

If you want covers that stay cool in the sun, real sheepskin is the way to go. Not great if your truck is often dirty/muddy though. It sounds counterintuitive but they are warm in winter and cool in summer. I got mine from sheercomfort.com. I got the customs.

Sheepskin is COOL to the touch

My rig came with worn sheepskin covers, and I thought I'd rip em right off, but ended up keeping them on 5 years 'til threadbare! The leather underneath is still good :eek::eek: cuz the PO had the covers on since new. I ran just the leather for the last 3 yrs, but it was so hot in summer, I put some Cabelas cheepies on for now. They're so-so, but as soon as I can, I'll recover with sheepskin. They really breathe, and feel great when wearing shorts. You get used to the look, when they work so damn well. "Form follows function"

Here's a few sites to consider:

I really want the Escape Gear covers, but $400+ for just the front seems extreme. Is there enough difference between them and Tuff Ducks or others to justify the steep price?

I mean if you're going to spend for $400 for just the fronts then why not just get Shane's leather? I've been really happy with my exact covers, and I know others have had good things to say about GT covers as well (both of which are lower in cost). I can't really comment on the big differences in those and the Tuff Ducks/Escape, but I went round and round with the decision before finally pulling the trigger on the exact fit. I've been really happy with the snug fit, quality, and durability of the product, and can't tell any appreciable cosmetic differences in them and the others mentioned. They also have the side and rear pockets, along with the "pocket" on the front bucket (nice place to put your phone when you've got a drink in your cup holder)

I wish I had a better picture to post, but I'm away my truck to day. I just wanted to share the coupon code at exact fit, as it basically lets you get front/middle rows for around $250 total.

I run the exact fit covers and they are great for the price. I've used GT covers in the past on a different vehicle and they worked great as well. Really nice fit.

I am running Escape Gear 1st and 2nd rows and I am very happy.

I bought them direct from Escape Gear - better deal but a bit of a hassle

Marcus1983, that looks awesome!! Those are my ultimate covers, just crazy money - worth it but hard to pull the trigger!! Great fit and look!

Costco - sheepskin

~ $60 each. Cut slits in the top for headrests, or not. Either way, long lasting ang great price. Seasonal item, they'll be gone soon, gray or tan.

+1 awesome and worth the effort
