So my 97 LX 450 has had the two front seat middle sections (bottom and back) redone in vinyl. It looks amazing and it was a quality job. However, when the gf drives the rig she complains about her legs and shoulders sticking to the seat due to the heat of the summer. I don't feel it as I don't wear daisy dukes. If it were leather then there wouldn't be any sticking to the seat. Are there any covers that can go over my seats as is, so that your skin doesn't stick to the seat in the summer. Then I'll just take them off when the weather cools down. Perhaps a cloth cover? Preferably something that doesn't look cheap.

Thanks everyone! Help me out as the gf is hounding me to get covers during this brutal summer heat.

They're spendy, but lots of people swear by wet okole

i picked these up from amazon for $18 a side, fit well and keep my leather protected. Pictures in this thread.

If you are interested in seat covers, here is an option. Different colors, waterproof, several pockets, perfect fit

LC 80 Waterproof Seat Covers.

Genuine Sheepskin (wool) seat covers. They may look a bit funky retro but they're cool in the summer, warm in the winter.

You'll stick to leather too. Leather is greatbat creating the "swamp ass" syndrome. Although I do not have them myself I really like these: http://www.equipt1.com/i/seat-covers/toyota-land-cruiser-80

I had this same problem with my 62 Ford Fairlane 500; a vinyl covered front bench seat:cool:

I have Tuff Ducks in my 60 and my only complaint is that they're waterproof and because they're waterproof, aren't breathable and they give you bad swamp ass in the heat. I got mine about 5 years ago so maybe they offer them now without the waterproofing?

I second Wet Okole. I work with them personally and they are a great crew. You could go all @Aloha Jen and get their nice Hawaiian flotal island print. Or just black and be boring...

+1

I have the Specter Tuff Duck covers on the front seats shown in post #10 by Luke111. They fit well for seat covers and wear well so far (18 months). I had to do something for my front seats, they looked like a frag went off inside them. I couldn't shell out $700 for new leather, so Tuff Duck was my choice and I'm happy so far.

I'd be more than happy to trade my dark brown cloth seats for a set of leather seats!

I went with Marathon seat covers that make a similar product to the Tuff Duck covers

Custom High Quality Truck and SUV Seat Covers | Marathon Seat Covers

The quality is great and for the most part, the fit is excellent. My concern was a cover that my dogs claws wouldn't puncture and let me keep the middle row arm rests. 1.5 years in and they are holding up great to kids, dogs, and Boy Scouts.
