Has any one tried to put shoulder/lap seat belt in the middle seats of a Prado..??
Dose any one know if the nuts are welded into the pilars?

And finally what is the Toyota number for the belt.?

I'd like to get rid of the lap belt only type of seat belt.

Thanks in advance..:)

Number of different options based on trim level ect.

Starting in 08/91 this seems to be the only option.

Typical part number 73360-60150-B0 that is not likely to match your interior and it is only one side. But it is enough to go to your dealer and ask if they can get them.

My bet is no. And if I miss that bet I am thinking it will be about $900

I would be stunned if it is that costly here.

Hey Dave. Hope all is well with you as we approch the Christmas season..

Thanks for the response..and the belt number --Left or Right side?
I guess the only way to tell if holes and nuts are in the pillars is to take the trim off and look..
Production of my Prado SX5 is April 1990. Only came with the Lap belts.
I'll call Toyota later. I will let you know what they say..

Regards

Dave..
Part number no good here in Newmarket, - Toyota dealer.
Best he could do is a Carolla 3 point harness at $109.00cdn
and the buckle / female part at $65.00cdn
It dose not come as a unit but in two-- part numbers.
Just thought I'd let you know..
All I have to do now is check the pillars for threaded holes..

I'm pretty sure reading somewhere that someone removed the trim, and there weren't any threaded mounting hole on the pillar in the LJ78.

I'm trying to think of a solution for this as well, as my son will be moving out of his car seat soon.

Well Robin, if we could find that post it might just save me a lot of time by not pulling my pillars trim apart.

Robin here is the link you refered to I think..

From the sounds of things some Prado's may have the threaded hole where other do not..
I guess I will wait for better warmer weather now before trying to pull the plastic trim on the pillars.. Pulling them frozen could crakem..

Yeh safer dealing with the plastic in the warmer weather.
