So this white goo, its on the bulkhead, and around fender (the pic is the bonnet hinge). You have to remove it do do things like remove the fender etc. Its white (and on the inside, but I suspect its also been painted), but that could be because my 62 is 033white. Its also pretty hard, but can be removed with a screwdriver. Under the fender was similar goo, but this time black, as the parts were not painted.
What do I need to use, when I put the fenders etc back on? Can you get this stuff in white? And when you put it on, does it end up looking like from factory, or totally different, and lastly, how do you put it on (after you connect the panels, or before and let it squeeze out?
And is this the same seam sealer you use on roof sills? I have some 3M proper seam sealer, which I think I use for that!
