you are talking about a door bar right?

For a street mostly rig, I would not worry about it.

Street driving is a few miles once or twice a week to work and then on the way to the trails. So it will see 35% road, 65% trail (by trail I mean washed out fire/logging roads and rubicon (as it is today) max type trails. Nothing excessive.

IMHO skip..

It really does make it harder to get in and out..

The cage is part stock and I will strengthen it as best as possible. It has a front hoop made from 2" .120 DOM that I added already, and small 1.25" tube running behind the seats for a 4 point tie in that I want to swap out and move lower.

Hey bud...

Don’t know if you are installing racing harnesses or if you are running them right now, but there are specific instructions that need to be followed when installing the shoulder restraint part of the racing harness. You are talking about lowering that cross bar between the B pillar. Are your shoulder harnesses attached to that currently?

A quick search found this, but any quality harness manufacture will provide proper installation instructions with their product.
