Alot of guys here have had good results with Seafoam. I'm using in all my small gasoline engines and in the Cruiser and 4-Runner. I read the MSDS sheet and I'm thinking why not mix it up and save some big money. Has anybody here done that? Seafoam cost is now $6.95 for a pint. It does give you better gas mileage and smooth performance. Cleaner engine=better performance.

I also found one guy on a board that said he substituted Tranny fluid for the Pale oil, and had great results.

Thoughts?

I ran a can through my 40 last month and it idles so smooth now. It really made a difference in the way it ran. I plan on doing that about every other month as much as I have been driving it lately. (it gets way better gas mileage than my truck)

Colorado Boy, do you change the oil and plugs every time you use it?

I ran some through my 2F a few weeks ago, but stripped the oil pan drain plug while changing the oil afterwards. So I still don't know if it did anything.

I poured the can of seafoam additive in my fuel. I didn't do anything to my plugs. It cleans the carmelization from the fuel system.
Maybe you are thinking of an oil additive.?
This what I used http://www.seafoamsales.com/motorTuneUpTechGas.htm

Do you guys put this in your oil or gas, or both??

I pulled a vacuum line on the intake manifold and let the engine suck it in. I had to be careful not to stall the engine, though.
