Hi,

Tried a search, but nothing came up regarding my question.

I would like to do a Seafoam-like motor decarbonizing that I've read about here on the 3F in my 62. However, I live in Costa Rica and haven't seen this product anywhere.

So... does anyone know what Seafoam really consists of? I'm thinking, maybe I can get one or more of the ingredients and make my own?

Is this nuts?

Thanks,
Jason

Try searching for the MSDS for seafoam I ran across it on the net a while back.
cheers,
Michael

Snorider,

Thanks. Found the data on their website. Pale oil, Isopropyl alcohol and Naptha.
Looks like I have some shopping to do. Then some mixing.

Stinky,

This thread includes a post that says seafoam looks like/smells like kerosene.

Does it really? Is kerosene the base?

Thanks,
Jason

I have no idea if kerosene is the base, I was just in the 80 section when I saw that posted. You might post to that thread and see what happens...

i dint think seafoam really does anything besides smokes...and fouls plugs 5 and 6 if pulled thru the vac line off the brake boost.
