It was @cruiserdan who said “my relationship with my 80 has been one of the most satisfying parts of my life”
Thats exactly how I feel about the almost 7 years that I’ve owned this awesome, dependable, capable 80! She has taken my family and I on countless adventures to some amazingly beautiful and remote places and has NEVER let us down yet! She rides and drives tight, and the engine and tranny are silky smooth. I’ve always kept up with PM (engine oil & filter changes every 3,000 miles). Always run at least 87 octane fuel. I’ve lovingly cared for this truck more than any other I’ve owned, and wheeled her with care and respect. I honestly wouldn’t hesitate to load up the family tomorrow and drive this 80 anywhere!
But you want facts, not me waxing poetic, so here are the facts:
Asking price: $17,500
Engine: 1FZ-FE 4.5L 6 cyl gasoline engine
Full Time 4WD
Center Diff Lock
That’s right OPEN DIFFS! —initially I intended adding ARB air lockers, but I never got around to it because in all my wheeling all these years (including some gnarly trails with a rating of 6, with my family onboard, fully loaded with kit) —I’ve never needed lockers
OBD II
MODS:
2” OME lift
33” GoodYear Wrangler MT/R Kevlar tires, siped (approx 25%-30% tread)
(These tires just won’t die! And I didn’t put new tires on just for ”sell appeal”
since new owner may wish to upgrade to 35s)
ARB winch bar
9000lb Badlands winch
Custom Safari roof basket
Trail gear sliders
4x4 Labs rear bumper with dual swing outs
Lighting:
7” HID driving spotlights
42” LED light bar (mounted to roof rack)
Rear-facing LED flood lights (mounted to roof rack)
Front sway bar disconnects
Onboard air compressor —ARB CKMTA12 twin
CB radio with 5’ antenna
New battery June 2021
PHH replaced (first thing I did )
Diff + Transmission + Transfer Case breathers
Pros:
NO body rust!
No oil leaks!
No water intrusion into cabin
Non-smoking owners
AC works great!
She lives mostly in the garage (unless I need it for a project briefly)
Leather seats in really good shape —no rips or tears
Cons:
D light not working (naturally)
DS mirror wobbles slightly (naturally)
A couple small dents -one in driver door, one above PS tail light (see pics)
Negligible surface rust underneath from the salt-brine that the county just started using on our roads last winter
Leather seats are starting to get dry and cracked —but no splits
Power antenna will not retract the final 3”
PS Rear-facing LED Flood light mounted on roof rack not working (Discovered 6/13/21)
Included:
I’m including the following items. I don’t feel they increase the value, just a gesture to the next owner:
1 spare matching rim
Both 3rd row seats + seat belts
2 PowerStop cross drilled brake rotors
Trasheroo
New spare belts, radiator hoses, EFI relay
(Hey, when you're traveling to remote places you better be prepared)
3 OEM oil filters
Gold Toyota front grille emblem
Gold Full-time 4WD emblem for tailgate
So why am I selling?
Honestly, it’s weird, I feel like I’m selling a dear family member…
We’re going through a Life change. Will be moving in a few months, and having my wife’s parents move in with us. Therefore, we have to sell 3 of our vehicles, including this one ( the others are not Land Cruisers )
If you feel this 80 is right for you...
I have a CLEAN title in hand.
Serious buyers only please.
I’m hoping someone on MUD will want her. Someone who wants an awesome truck to make their own memories with. Someone who might even continue the build or take it to the next level?

Somebody once said “welcome to the addiction”. What a colossal understatement! Dear fellow mudders…I know how gracious you all are in welcoming new 80 owners and watching them become consumed with their newfound addiction… Well here I am –another addict! My name is Mike, and I've actually...
