I was actually suprised I put it back together in my livingroom and it took some force to snap the end cap on. Many of the ones I used in the military were worn to where it just took on hand to pop it on.
I don't know if I ever slept on one that both ends were intact...sucks to have your feet danglin' all night...but better than the ground I suppose.
