I'd be really interested to see some average "wheeling" temps if anyone has any. :)

I think I posted some of mine (for the 80) someplace, comparing Lo and Hi in sand. Made a huge difference IIRC. May not be exactly the same as the 100 but probably fairly close and certainly would show the point of going in on Lo.

Yeah Phil, I would say either your version and/or tranny isn't compatible or you entered it wrong.

Mine starts a little above ambient temp. Around town is run 90-120 degrees F. On the interstate cruising at 70 it's 120-130 degrees F. Powering up a long mountain pass I saw a peak of 155 degrees F. Keep in mind for all of these numbers the ambient was around 55 degrees F.

P.S. The first try I missed a 0 somewhere and it gave me a reading of -600 degrees F. Knew right away that wasn't correct!

A tech at ScanGauge entered the code for me:hhmm:

Now I need to find the post to the code?

I guess somewhere between the ScanGauge tech's video games and McDonald's he failed to input the code correctly:doh:

I re-entered the codes and now I have ATF temps.

Friday I'm off to the lake, Scottsdale's temps is expected to be 111° with the boats weight at #5000. The 1 mile hill should be a good test for trans temp.

Worked on my '99 as well.

Digging up an old thread.

Looks like the ScanGauges are working for UZJ100 under 2003?
Anyone with a LX470 from early 2002 with a working ScanGauge?

Old thread but I wanted to add a data point.

I went on a trip yesterday - from sea level to around 5,000ft. Engine temps were 180-188F the whole way depending on the grade. Trans temps were pretty stable around 130-140F while in low. On the highway on the way home it was 145 or so. During the stop light mess from the highway it got to 160.

I think it's working.
