Looks like a small block V8 with a York air comp (sticking out on top). Very nice looking rig and it was street licensed. If this thing can be driven on the road, I think we have hope :D
 
that's David's. i actually wheeled w/ him at Chile Challenge a few years ago before he got into the Fire Dept. i have video too.
the cool things about it you missed- 4.3 V6, Th350 transmission to homemade adapter to stock mog transmission(yes a double transmission); rear steering axle.

you should have knocked on the door (or did you and they weren't there?), he would have loved to talk about it a show it. he used to have a Land Cruiser too, so he loves them as well.:cool:

edit: i see the fire truck back there now. did you talk to him?
 
I didn't talk to anyone, just checked out the rig. I would've gone in if I saw your PSD out front. They were doing some work with the truck on the road and hoses stretched all over the road.
