I brought the truck in to get a HD radiator and water pump installed. Drove home and it overheated. By the time I realize the temp was up it was too late. Shop didn't take responsibility and they said it's probably a blown head gasket. OBD code is 301 (Number 1 cylinder out). Rattle can paint job, but the original color is dark green. I've had it for 20+ years. No damage or accidents. Clean title and current until May.
How far is the shop to you home?
Was there any codes before you dropped it off at the shop?
Why did you want a new Radiator and water pump??
Was the truck overheating prior to the trip to the shop for the new Radiator?

Shops only 5 miles away. Once on the freeway temp sky rocketed. No codes before overheat. Had a small leak in radiator and decide to do some preventive maintenance 
. No over heat issue! In hindsight I should just left it alone!!! Figure it was a good time to upgrade since prices wasn't much of a different from regular radiator.
