My saginaw box is leaking like a SIEVE out of the low pressure fitting.

I need to find a new one.
What is the size of the flare?
Also, what is the appropriate nut size?
I use a 5/8" wrench to get the nut in and out.

I tried to reflare the fitting, but it leaks worse than ever. Is this actually a double flare?

depends on the age of the box. Earler have a double flare, older have an O-ring fitting my 75 Caddy box has 3/8 double flare steel line. I cut the fitting off a junk line and bought new bulk line from Napa, bent and flared it.

there are an unfortunately large array of fittings that the saginaw boxes had over the years... std flare of a few diff. sizes, metric o-ring, etc. best bet is to take it off and go to a hose shop to get them to figure it out and make a correct fitting for you.

It's a flare style. No o-rings. The CJ0-7 pressure line I use is spot on and fits perfectly.
So I suppose that the other side would also work from a CJ-7... But I can't be certain. Not like I have time to go to the junk yard and pull one....

I think I will try to find some AN-6 fittings locally and go that route.

The return line from the CJ would work, as will the -6 fittings if you find them.

Good luck!
