The perfect confluence of form and function. Not only exceedingly rare, but also incredibly well-built and designed. This Toyota Hilux Galaxy is 1 of just 80 examples reported to have been manufactured in Japan during the late 80's and early 90's. Featuring Toyota's 2.8 liter 3L diesel engine, a 5-speed manual transmission, 4wd with high and low range, solid front and rear axles, and a one-piece fully self-contained camper this is arguably the best truck-based RV ever conceived. These do not come up for sale often, and when they do, they sell FAST. This rig needs a little bit or work and some finishing details to be fully dialed in, but it is ready to jump in and go at a moment's notice as it sits. And, with an asking price of just $33k + a 12-pack, I do believe this to be the most reasonably priced example to hit the market in the past several years.

Work Needed:
-110V camper electrical system needs some work. Power comes into the inverter/controller/charger module, but does not come out. Currently, only the 12 volt electrical is working. Some interior lights appear to need new bulbs.
-Bath faucet requires replacement
-Window seals on the front two upper windows of the camper need to be redone
-The paint, especially on the passenger side is faded, and the hood has been replaced - a paint job wouldn't hurt, but it also isn't going to make it any less rugged of an adventure vehicle to leave it as is.
-A few of the small lights are missing their plastic covers
-Cab AC needs a recharge
-The truck has been sitting for about a month or two after having the new belts installed. Currently, when driving, there is a little bit of a belt squeak noise. Most likely, something needs a tension adjustment.

Very cool. Love the retro little TV

Can’t imagine what driving that thing with a 3L is like though. Can it even get up to 60??
