Bottom line is, if you don't prep a surface properly nothing will stick to it. With all of the baffling inside of the 80 series tank, its virtually impossible to prep it properly. Every square inch has to be completely clean and dry. This is why I didn't use a tank liner.

For other tanks with no baffles, I would be more willing to line a tank. I think the product is geared more towards motorcycles/lawnmowers/atvs ect.
