Not really. Check for leaks around the intake and maybe the throttle body gasket. I’ve seen pack rats damage them causing a small leak, rare occurrence though.
 
Did you ever get the throttle body issue figured out? Is it still making that noise ? If the motor in throttle body is binding or stuck it can cause the butterfly not to shut fully causing all sorts of issues…..My bad, I should have looked at the earlier posts.

It still makes a clicking sound during the surging
 
Ok so i found this video with the test values for the MAF. Are these correct?

My sensor measured 3.8 kOhm which is definitely out of the range for my outside temp (about 75)

Ok so i put a new MAF (cheap Carquest from advanced) to see if that made a difference. The new MAF ohmd out at 2.6 at around 65 deg which is in the zone, where my old one was 3.8. Truck started right up and no surging or codes.

We will see.

Update- drove about 75 miles today. So far so good
