after reading a couple of threads on adj. timing, i go after mine due to the rich smell from my pipe. this is my first timing adj. on my 60, i pulled the door and found the "ball" about half way between the mark and the bottom of the window. i read that the ball should be on the bottom of the window so i adjust it there. the smell is still there, although she is running better i think. what else can i check to get rid of the rich smell and did i adjust it right? i couldn't see any numbers to adjust by, are there any? thank you

Spark & fuel are unrelated. Adjust your idle mixture on the carb according to the emissions controls manual. Don't forget to check out the high-altitude circuit (don't know how high Peoria is).

i don't think 1500 feet qualifies as high altitude, i'll check, thanks
