Just wanted to be sure... Will running boards off a 1995 LC fit a 1994 LC that never had running boards? A fellow Oregon mudder has offered to sell me a temporary solution until I can get the slees.

P.S. Does just an hour search of the threads still get a :flipoff2: ?

OEM boards will fit 93-97. You will need to remove your front mud flaps to install the boards. Save the flaps for when you take the boards back off.

Thanks Dan (again!)!

Geez Dan, do you just search for these questions. I sweat you have more patience than mother Teressa.

No, he's supposed to donate them to me :D .

For the life of me, I can't understand why anyone would put those thing on a vehicle. I think a step stool is more practical.

I'm a fellow Mudder in Oregon and you can HAVE mine, that is unless the cost to come pick them up is greater than what you are paying for the other set :flipoff2:

Is this "Saint"Dan the same fellow that regularly uses voodoo dolls to drum up business. Must be from Haiti...:D

Actually you don't have to remove the front mud flaps.

My truck came from the factory without runnning boards, tow package, roof rack, deflector, etc. - which is why I chose it.

Fast forward a few years and I have a four year old daughter and the 5'2" wife starts using the 80 as her DD. She wants running boards, so I pick up a set of Lexus boards with a black side moulding that matches the 40th edition black body moulding.

Instead of taking the front mud flaps off I left them and capped both ends of the running boards with the caps that normally go on the rear only. Just order an additional set of rear trim caps and you will be good to go. You have to trim them a bit to fit in the front, but it's no big deal.

I also ordered an extra set of mounting arms as the stock running board package only comes with three support arms per side even though the truck is configured for four on each side. They are very stout with all four support arms in place.

FYI - I did not install the cheesy little plastic pieces to fill the gap between the rear wheel well mouldings and the running boards. The boards will eventually come off when my wife gives the truck back to me.
