Hi All -

Have started major makeover of my 80 and have removed the running boards & rear bumper (including hitch). Got to make way for sliders and swingout rear bumper. Wondering if these have any value to anyone or need to go to the scrap yard? All came off of Cali truck so rust free.

All depends on how much space and time you have and what its worth to you . I vote scrap though there have been a few 80 series reversion posts lately nationwide. Toss the plastic, List the hitch for 100.....take ~60 and move on is my thought.

Having the hardware is key to all of these.

Bumper corners may go easy but shipping is a bear. I shipped two at 4x dollars iirc

But id save the running board hardware and run it back in factory holes. I wish i did that in 2004. Have a lil rocker rot showing up now and thats the easiest point of entry for moisture and muck :/

That said i have two hitches. $50 each :D

Maybe offer for free (if picked up) before scrap.

I hate to see good rust free parts get destroyed.
