I also purchased a backup thermostat from autozone b/c I needed one asap and it actually came with that o-ring.

I've not installed however if you want the thermostat plus the supplied o-ring you can have it for what i paid plus the ride. Otherwise I'm going to return to autozone. Once I get home I will get the name brand so others can purchase if they want.
