Which are longer? I forgot to write on the baggies. I assume the head bolts are longer....

Thanks!

thanks. I measured the headbolts and they were just over 4.25 from top of the head to bolt end. The main bearing bolts are the shorter ones.

You ALWAYS measure a bolt from the bottom of the head to the tip (working area)

as Ed McMann would say to Johnny. You Are Correct Sir. That said. I think we're OK because I was naughty :slap: and measured from bolt top to end of threads (aka, total length, and not "working area")

Into the MUD dog house I go!

Yes, you are correct. I was just trying to figure out which are longer, the main bearing cap bolts or the head bolts. I had already installed the main bolts, and I went out to double check the head bolts since I was given a measurement. Since the mains are shorter, and the length ended up being what was reported, I had the info I needed. I noticed the odd measurement, but I had my answer...

thanks to everyone who replied.
