RTH Landtank DC Front Driveshaft Install

I'm sure this is a stupid question but it has never stopped me from asking. First install ever on driveshaft. Putting in Landtank DC front. The PVC collar comes off the slip yoke prior to install?

Yes, it’s for shipping purposes only. It protects the expansion plug from getting damaged during shipping
