Mine was similar to OTRAMM's video.
I got the splines lined up and placed the outboard shaft's end against my pectoral muscle (truck firmly jacked on the frame) and nudged it in with the weight of my torso 3 times to get it perfectly seated with the 'pop'. Was an OEM pair.
Got blue between the chest and the shoulder after ~6 punches (3 per side) but that worked out for me.
Inboard shaft has to be close to perfectly straight, it's a long rod getting into a long tube with tight tolerances.
