Hi all,
1998 LC 240K. I was in Estes Park, Colorado, elevation ~7500. I am hearing this buzzing sound from under the hood. It seem to come from this "thing", not sure what is the name. See the video. Apology for quality of the video, that was taken in parking lot with engine off. Temp was about 85F and sunny. I parked the car and slightly open the hood, after ~1hr it finally stopped making noise. It drove fine on the way to Boulder. I stopped along the way to check, and it was fine.
I am now at Boulder, and was just stucked in traffic for a bit, so I stopped at Starbucks, same problem with the noise. I guess it is over hearing but the car runs fine. Engine temp is ~190-200F. Tranny is ~140-160F.
- Is the car safe to drive? I am with my wife and kid.
- Any recommendation what to do so it does not happen again?
- Anything I can fix like at the hotel parking lot? I have basic tools with me.
Thanks
Chris
