Rough starts , what is the problem ? (1 Viewer)

Hey guys , my friends 2003 LC100 has recently had starting issues , where it has become increasingly difficult to start, and it idles very roughly. It almost sounds like a very lean air fuel ratio.

It has a 1FZE inline 6 engine


However sometimes it starts up and drives perfectly which is strange.

The issue mostly happens on cold starts.

I believe the issue is with the fueling or air system.

should probably post this in the 80 section. No one in the us has a 1FZ in their 100, unless they imported it. All our FZJ80's got the 1FZ.

1FZE Does not have mass airflow sensor but it does have another sensor attached to the throttle body that we will check.
