Has anything been changed/serviced recently? Will it run long enough to throw a code?

To update this, I went to autozone to pull codes. P0307. No pending codes. Dude pulling my codes says, “it’s your injector. I’d put some sea foam in it to see if it clears it.” Cool thank you, but I’ll pass on the snake oil. I ordered 8 plugs and 2 coil packs with the intent of having a spare on hand. Out the door for all denso parts was $160 on Amazon. Dealer wanted $120 for 1 coil pack.

I started with passenger bank. Nothing terrible, but 3 of 4 coil packs seemed original. Picture of the non-denso/original coil, does anyone recognize the logo?

Started on the driver’s side, all is will until I pull 5 and 7 coils

#5 (no code big crack)

So I put in the “D” coil pack into 5 and the new denso into 7.

Truck drives much better on a butt dyno.

I’m going to watch my economy. I hope it gets better.

At the end of the day:

All the plugs were out of tolerance at >/= 1.3

6/8 coil packs seem to be original

Replaced faulty coil pack

Replaced cracked but functioning coil pack

6 new coil pack are on their way.

Glad you got it sorted Nic!
