I was wondering about your gauges... no rush, life gets busy enough.Still need to make time to rewire my dash for the new gauges I ordered earlier this summer. Nothing like $600 on gauges just to have them sit on the workbench for 6 months ...
Those pictures sum it all up for me... I’d be dreading that too. But that new instrument panel is going to be awesome!I've been dreading this project, but here we go. Can't find the wiring schematic in the FSM for the two tachometer connectors (pictured below) which is making progress slow, but we're getting there.
Speed Hut gauges? Did you go with the GPS speedo?
Not having the speedo cable will make taking the dash in and out that much easier. I've always got to do some crazy hand positioning to get that cable off or back on. Those look really nice in there. Looks very tempting to do.
Are you going to make your stock tach work again?
Seems like the one to get is the Torx brand for $20-30. They make one for the 12mm banjo on the filter housing and the 14mm on the pump. I have the filter housing snubber on my 80 with the gauge right on top. On the 75 I will move the gauge inside like your doing.
i bought the Larry B version then realized it was the Torx just rebranded for $15 more.
Thats the one. The needle still moves in the Larry B water filled gauge. I am noticing the Larry B stuff is not as sweet as I thought. Most is rebranded stuff. This?
Cummins Fuel Pressure Snubbers
Seems easier to use this than to adapt to the factory banjo. Did you have needle bounce before adding the snubber?
