Well, now that's a tough act to follow. Who wants to look at a rusty old mud splattered 2F after those sweet shots. :)

Tell us more about what you actually put in that 62/how it performs/what kind of mileage, etc.

It's amazing, to say the least.
 
I started with a LT1/4L60E/Split case as shown in a couple of photos, but ended up with a 502/4L80E/KluneV/split case, for more low end power and better gearing. Mileage is around 12.5 until you gear down then it drops significally. Performance was adequate with the LT1 but the 502 is way better. It makes over 500 ft. lbs. from 2k-5k, so it takes very little throttle to get things going. Many other mods were done to the axles to help transmit the torque to the wheels without breaking things.


Body and Interior

Body removed, all bolts and brackets yellow cad plated
New factory Toyota:
Grill and headlamps surrounds
All vents and emblems
All door handles
Factory (Spector) flares
87 factory mirrors (have factory electrics)
All doors rebuilt inside with new plastic and window mechanisms
Door panels refurbished to new quality
Drivers seat refurbished with new factory foam and seat cover
Factory 3 piece Sepia brown carpet
All new factory gauges with tach recalibrated for V-8
Factory Fog light switch
Fully undercoated
All new factory body mounts
Inside switch panel for compressor, ARB’s, E-brake, back up lights, and air
pressure gauge
Stout Equipment front bumper with 9000# Superwinch incorporated in front
Bumper, controlled outside with cable or inside with switch
Kaymar rear bumper with tire rack, jerry can holder, backup light
New factory gas tank with custom fuel lines and new sender. All #6 ”AN”
Fittings. 190-lph. fuel pump mounted in tank with external filter
New brake lines and gas lines
Custom made .250 wall rock sliders/ entry steps. Powdercoated. Air tank equipped.

Lighting and Electrical

Hella High and low beams with 80/100 watt HIP bulbs
Hella 550 fog lights recessed in front bumper with 100 watt HIP bulbs
Marchal 952 pencil beams with 100 watt HIP bulbs on front bumper
Dick Cepek 500 series rear back up light with 100 watt bulb
All headlamp/fog lamp/rear lamps on Bosch relays
All new factory bulbs with new lenses
(2) Optima yellow tops in new factory trays with factory hold downs
Dual battery switch, flush mounted in engine compartment
140-amp alternator
MSD Off road ignition system with bypass
Electronic IAC motor interrupt for fast idle
On board air compressor, dash controlled with gauge, rear frame mounted
Tank, twin side tanks in rock sliders, and remote air line and air chuck
(3) Electric fans, all automatic and progressively ran with water temp.
controlled sensors and custom fan shrouds
Custom fuse panel for all aftermarket electronics under hood

Factory ’96 AM/FM/CASS/CD with EQ
