Sorted through all the bits this evening and looks like a few of the u bolt nuts and washers and brake handle pin are unaccounted for. I guess it could be worse. I bolted on the first two little pieces back up as well. The upper shock brackets went in place with new stainless hardware and lots of antisieze. Hopefully I'll never touch these again in my lifetime.

Awesome work Roma. I am jealous you have a hot dip place around. I really wanted to do my 40 frame but nobody would touch it near Seattle 😒.
I need to start thinking harder about a little camping/multiuse trailer this size!

Thanks! It's been a fun little build for sure. If I had it to do over again I'd spring for one of those aluminum 416 boxes and build a frame from scratch.

With a breaker bar and a cheater bar I was finally able to break the shackles loose from the springs. The right rear has reverse thread on the spring end.

New spring pins for the fixed side of the springs. I need to put the zerks in and give them a good greasing once they are full bolted up.

Also picked up some new replacement shocks from Napa.

Well the two 3/4" bolts i couldnt find in stainless at bolt depot were driving me nuts so I ordered some from McMaster. I also got some stainless castle nuts for the parking bellcranks and a stainless clevis for the brake handle. Couldn't help myself.

Great job! On your tire and wheel mounting, did you use inner tubes? For some reason, my has inner tubes.

New parking brake cable.

And of course just like all my other builds I left one thing unfinished...didnt paint the backing plates or even clean the dobber nest off of them.

New drain plugs and galvanized brackets.

The original design had self tapping screws here but I opted for nylock nuts with machine screws.

All new grommets in the frame holes for the NOS M416 wiring harness. The original harness clamps to the frame were solid wire clamps attached with sheet metal screws. I wasn't impressed with the design so I installed these clamps with rubber insulators attached with stainless machine screws and nylock nuts.
